Terms of Service

Canadian Association of Alternative Strategies & Assets (CAASA)

1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for, accessing, or using the CAASA Connect platform ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and all applicable federal, provincial, and territorial laws of Canada. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Platform.

2. Institutional Member Eligibility

Access to CAASA Connect is restricted exclusively to authorized representatives of approved institutional members, accredited investors, single family offices (SFOs), multi-family offices (MFOs), registered fund managers, and affiliated service providers. You represent and warrant that all registration information submitted is truthful, accurate, and current.

3. Confidentiality and Proprietary Information

The Platform provides access to sensitive institutional member directories, proprietary fund data, and confidential deal opportunities. Members agree that all directory information, non-public communications, and document rooms obtained through the Platform shall be maintained in strict confidence and shall not be scraped, redistributed, or disclosed to unauthorized third parties without prior written consent.

4. Professional Relationship & No Advisory Role

CAASA is an industry association and does not act as a broker-dealer, investment advisor, portfolio manager, or financial intermediary. The Platform facilitates networking, discussion, and information sharing among qualified professionals. CAASA does not endorse, recommend, or verify any investment opportunities presented by members.

5. Termination and Access Revocation

CAASA reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to suspend or terminate any user account or organization membership at any time for violation of these Terms, ethical breaches, or failure to maintain active membership in good standing.

6. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law.
